Pictures that show why I need a ramp
it snowed last night, and so far all day today, off and on -- mostly on. The ground was so warm that even though it snowed all night, there wasn't a huge amount of accumulation. Here are a few pics. Also pics showing why I need a ramp!
This is taken outside the kitchen window. you can see the steep hill.
Look through the window, see the X. that's where we have to park, which is up a steep hill that has two hills within it. We have a retaining wall that keeps the hill back from our house. We have to climb up steps, which are in the next photo

Bear is about 1/3 of the way up the hill. This was taken before we had handrails put in. this is far more steep than it appears. Car has to be parked past the trash cans.

Here is a view of the steps going from next to the house up to the top of the first hill, which leads to a steep slope on up the hill.

This photo was taken last winter, also shows the slope of the mountainside. We have one parking space on the street where the house is at the top of the photo.

Miss talking to you. That problem you and Amy were worried about is a moot point, I do believe, after making many calls to PA.
We shall get you out of there somehow, needn't fear my lass!
Your Lady-in-Waiting on sabbatical studying the possibility of overcoming the laws physics in regards to the hills in the place K lives, with Mr Science...
Elspeth
*swift curtsy*walking backwards out of the room...WOOPS..it's okay, just hard walking around with one glass slipper on ( this fairy tale stuff isn't the greatest gig available, that's for sure )*smiling all the while*

And he is actually Mr Mathmatics rather than Mr Science, but who cares... haha
I loved your post(s)!
Okay new scenario..picture seven diminutive men surrounding you encased in glass after having eaten an apple poisoned with something not approved by the FDA... If weeping men are not enough to annoy you enough to get out of your prison...we need.....
Right, we have to get a prince let me reflect for a moment ah...Sir Teacher Bear will do nicely I think...tell him the red tights will be alright...just this once...he'll give you a kiss... which will wake you up ( while we are at it, let's go for it...younger and in perfect health ) and you'll be in your castle in the English countryside and as Lady Bountiful of the county you will spend your days delivering hand sewn quilts with stitches of gold ( can't trust the banks anymore anyway! ) to all the delightful peasantry and reading about poor Rapunzel being still stuck in the Tower..waiting for Elspeth, her unreliable lady-in-waiting eternal student that she is, to help her get out of there tout suite!

Alo, you're little 'mood' person is soo adorable-- and looks so warm and cozy in his hot tub!
And I love our neighborhood and the brick stairs too, but they are SO steep, it exhausts anyone trying to go up, let alone an overweight disabled woman like me!
My hubby is handicap, though he is not confined to a wheelchair. He walks with the assistance of a cane, I can't even imagine if we had to deal with a steep hill such as yours.
Many *hugs* and prayers.
The snow is very pretty!
